2012 Extension and Renovation

March 2012 Update

We're now well on with the building work. The first floor has gone in and the builders are now working on the dining room extension and the roof.

Have a look at the slideshow below to see the progress as well as the sea view and cricket field view which two of our three new rooms will benefit from (minus the scaffolding!).

At The Wheeldale, we're always looking for ways to improve our service and the quality of our guest's stay. This year will see the arrival of a number of improvements, some of which are already in place, while others will take a little longer to complete.

Recent Improvements

We have recently installed a brand new, pressurised boiler heating and water system which quietly and efficiently heats our guest bedrooms and private accommodation and offers our showers much more pressure without the need of noisy pumps and water tanks filling in the attic. As well as this, we have installed a number of new, larger shower cubicles in many of our en-suites.

Please Note: No work will take place past 7pm to prevent disruption for guests.

Extension

Our major project for 2012 is the building of a 2 storey extension to the rear of the building. This extension will house 2 extra guest bedrooms as well as a new laundry room and Guest Overflow and staff accommodation on the ground floor.
